BuildingPermitCost How Troy calculates your permit fee
The city charges a building permit fee using a fee table based on project value. Plan review is a separate charge: $7.50 per $1,000 of project value.

Worked example: a $350,000 new home
- Building permit fee: $215.00 for the first $10,000.00 + $10.00 × 340 per $1,000.00 over = $3,615.00
- Plan review fee: $350,000.00 ÷ 1,000 × $7.50 = $2,625.00
- Total before trade permits: $6,240.00.
