Information only

BuildingPermitCost publishes building permit fees read from official city and county fee schedules, and calculators that apply those schedules. The figures are estimates for planning. They are not an official fee quote, and they are not legal, financial, engineering or professional advice.

The permit office that issues your permit sets the final fee. It may value your project differently, charge fees that apply only to some projects, add trade or other permits, or have adopted a newer schedule than the one we show. Always confirm fees with the permit office before applying, budgeting or signing a contract.

Accuracy

We quote every fee from its official source and show the effective date, the date we last checked it, and a link to the source. Even so, schedules change and mistakes happen. The site is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness or fitness for a particular purpose. If you find an error, please report it.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, BuildingPermitCost and the people who run it are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, the site, its data or its calculators, including fees that turn out to be different from those shown.

Using our content

You may use the site for your own projects and research, link to any page, and quote individual figures with a link back to the page they came from. Please do not copy the site or its data in bulk, or use automated tools to scrape it, without our permission.

The underlying fee schedules belong to the jurisdictions that publish them.

Links to other sites

Pages link to official government websites and permit portals. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or availability.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date on this page shows the latest version, and continued use of the site means you accept the updated terms.
