What counts as project value
Your contract or bid price. Fees are a percentage of the 'valuation of construction costs (total contract amount)'. 'A complete copy of construction contracts may be required ... Valuation-based fees exclude flooring material costs.'
Worked example: a $350,000 new home
- Building permit fee: $100.00 for the first $500.00 + $16.00 × 349.5 per $1,000.00 over = $5,692.00
- Total before trade permits: $5,692.00.
