How Edmond calculates your permit fee
The city charges a building permit fee using $0.06 per square foot. Plan review is a separate charge: a flat $105.00. Electrical, plumbing and mechanical work gets its own permits.
The fee table
Residential building inspection fees
$0.06 per square foot.
Commercial building inspection fees
$0.18 per square foot, plus a $100.00 application fee.
Surcharges
- State fees: $4.25
What counts as project value
Floor area (square feet). Building inspection fees are per square foot, not valuation; the schedule does not define which floor area is measured.
Worked example: a $350,000 new home
- Building permit fee: 2,400 sq ft × $0.06 = $144.00
- Plan review fee: flat = $105.00
- State fees: fixed = $4.25
- Total before trade permits: $253.25.
