What counts as project value
Local valuation table. New single-family dwellings: value = heated sq ft x $15.00 + unheated sq ft x $7.50 (a fixed local table), then x 0.0055. All other residential permits and commercial permits use the total contracting price (all materials and labor included).
Worked example: a $350,000 new home
- Building permit fee: 2,400 sq ft × $0.08 = $198.00
- Total before trade permits: $198.00.
